Call for Papers: 1st Workshop on Federated Learning for Wireless Edge AI (FedEdgeAI)

We are excited to announce the 1st workshop on Federated Learning for Wireless Edge AI (FedEdgeAI), which will be held in conjunction with the IEEE ICDCS 2025 conference in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 20th to July 23rd, 2025.

📢 About the Workshop: FedEdgeAI aims to address the real-world challenges of deploying federated learning in practical scenarios. We invite researchers and practitioners to submit their original work on topics including:

  • Algorithms for distributed machine learning
  • Adaptive techniques for changing network conditions
  • Edge AI resilience
  • Benchmarking generative models at the edge
  • Downsizing Large Language Models (LLMs) into Small Language Models (SLMs)
  • Semantic communication
  • Asynchronous federated learning training
  • Rethinking communication protocols for wireless federated learning

📄 Call for Papers: Edge AI represents the evolution of edge computing, deploying AI algorithms directly on edge devices. Federated learning enhances privacy by enabling collaborative learning across distributed devices without sending raw data to a central server. However, challenges such as limited device resources, increased training times, and network constraints need to be addressed.

Join us in exploring innovative solutions to these challenges and advancing the field of federated learning for wireless edge AI.
