Demo Day Highlights

On the first day, we kicked off with a Demo Day that facilitated numerous small discussions between artefact owners and use case representatives. This collaborative approach aimed to enhance our understanding of the artefacts and their integration requirements, fostering a spirit of teamwork and innovation.

Smart Factory Floor Use Case Insights

The smart factory floor use case (UC3) demonstrated the playing field and its associated challenges, providing valuable insights in the area of object detectiong that sparked interest among attendees. This session was a great opportunity to explore real-world applications and the complexities involved. You can read more about this use case here.

Plenary Sessions

The second and third days were dedicated to plenary sessions, where all seven work packages were discussed comprehensively. Each work package presented their accomplishments, ongoing efforts, and future plans, ensuring that all participants are aligned and informed about the project’s progress.

Use Case Presentations

All use cases had the opportunity to present their current status, share ongoing work, and outline their future plans. This sharing of information was crucial for maintaining transparency and collaboration across the project.

Factory Floor Tour

A particularly exciting aspect of the meeting was the factory floor tour. Participants visited various stations that showcased how automation is achieved in practice, providing a tangible understanding of the project’s goals and methodologies.

Overall, the meeting was prepared and organised very well. Special thanks to our partner Dell and the dedicated people behind the scenes who made this event possible.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration and seeing how these discussions and insights will shape the future of the SmartEdge EU project!
